GNYHA Services, Inc., the group purchasing subsidiary of the Greater New York Hospital Association (GNYHA), provides cost efficient purchasing resources to 200 members and other institutions in the New York metropolitan area and beyond. In addition to achieving the lowest prices for the membership, GNYHA Services provides support services to assist members in producing cost effective treatment patterns.
The Clinical Pharmacy Program at GNYHA Services provides clinical pharmacy support to member institutions. The Clinical Pharmacy Program is committed to providing tools to improve the level of pharmacy practice and cost-effective health care delivery at member institutions. Included in the Clinical Pharmacy Program's mission are to:
- Facilitate Clinical Pharmacy forums for discussion of current issues
- Facilitate focused work groups to promote the safe and effective use of drugs
- Address clinical pharmacy practice issues specific to the metropolitan New York City area
- Disseminate timely information on new drugs and services that impact clinical pharmacy operations at member institutions
- Provide consultant services to member hospitals in areas of formulary management and clinical pharmacy program implementation
